Stakely successfully renews SOC 2 Type II certification: Strengthening our commitment to institutional security

At Stakely, we believe that trust is not promised — it’s built with verifiable facts. Today, we take another step in that direction by renewing our SOC 2 Type II certification for the second year in a row, one of the most rigorous standards for security and internal control in the tech industry.
This renewal strengthens the robustness of our infrastructure and reinforces our commitment to the operational security demanded by both individual users and institutional delegators.
What is SOC 2 Type II and why is it relevant for staking?
SOC 2 (System and Organization Controls) is an audit framework developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), designed to evaluate a company’s internal controls regarding security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy of information.
The Type II certification not only assesses whether these controls exist, like Type I does, but also evaluates their operational effectiveness over a minimum period of six months. This makes it a real and sustained validation of the audited systems’ performance.
In the context of staking, where continuous availability and resilience against threats are critical, SOC 2 Type II is more than just an institutional badge — it’s a technical guarantee of resilience, reliability, and commitment to best practices.
An audit of operational excellence
Renewing this certification is not just a bureaucratic exercise. It means proving that all of our processes continue to meet the highest standards of security and governance. During this audit, we were evaluated on:
- Security: protection against unauthorized access and potential threats.
- Availability: ensuring system reliability and continuous access.
- Processing integrity: delivering accurate, consistent, and complete data handling.
- Confidentiality: safeguarding sensitive information of both users and the organization.
- Privacy: a commitment to responsible and transparent data management.
Meeting all these criteria shows that our infrastructure is built to withstand, scale, and protect.
Our values: security, transparency, and trust
In an environment where decentralization is advancing, but so are the associated risks, we understand that security is no longer a value-added benefit: it’s the starting point.
That’s why this certification, along with all the others that are part of our security stack, is not an isolated achievement but part of an integrated strategy to protect your delegation, which includes continuous monitoring, system redundancy, fault-tolerant architecture, and proactive threat response.
SOC 2 Type II is an independent assurance that our practices align with the highest standards in the financial sector, while staying true to the principles of decentralized staking.
What does this mean for delegators and institutions?
If you’re already part of the Stakely ecosystem, this renewal confirms that your delegation is backed by an audited infrastructure designed to guarantee you operational security.
We’re also currently undergoing the audit process for the renewal of our ISO/IEC certification, which will soon allow us to add another year to our institutional staking certification.
If you’re not working with us yet, this is a clear signal: we’re ready to offer institutional staking with real guarantees of compliance, performance, and transparency. Let’s keep validating together!
