Bringing you the latest blockchain news
Want to stay up to date with the latest news in the crypto world? Here's a summary of the top news from March!
Cosmos
The v9 Lambda upgrade introduced the implementation of Replicated Security in the Cosmos ecosystem, which will soon allow us to see the birth of the first consumer chains, such as Neutron and Stride.
In March, the blockchain of Noble started operations on Cosmos with the mission of facilitating asset issuance and being specifically designed for the blockchain communication ecosystem (IBC). Keplr has already integrated Noble on their platform upon its arrival!
Another successful March launch was Quasar, which allows permissionless and custody-free asset management exploration in Cosmos through vaults. It already has its first vault active, OSMO, and soon vaults for ATOM, USDC, and more will be added.
Regarding wallets, you can now buy ATOM through Kado from the Keplr extension and dashboard, while Leap Cosmos and Keplr Wallet will hide spam proposals by default on their platforms for greater security.
Avalanche
The leading platform for creating web3 communities, Galxe (GAL), collaborates with Ava Labs to integrate their patented chain achievements token (OAT) within the Avalanche ecosystem.
HyperSDK has joined Avalanche Warp Messaging (AWM) to facilitate cross-subnet communication with custom virtual machines.
Registrations for the Avalanche Summit II (Spain), which will be held between May 3rd and 5th, are now open.
Core mobile for Android is now compatible with Coinbase Pay. Core is the only wallet compatible with Avalanche Bridge and Subnets preloaded directly on the application, which opens up a world of possibilities for Avalanche.
And if you are interested in staking Avalanche, we have created a tutorial specifically for beginners. We hope it helps!
Solana
The renowned cryptocurrency exchange Kraken will support depositing and withdrawing USDT through the Solana network on their platform.
Helium, which connects Internet of Things (IoT) devices, has moved to Solana to improve scalability and reliability.
Will play-and-own based on Solana be the engine that drives the game industry? At least the idea of "a future in which players own their data and progress in games, platforms, and publishers" sounds interesting.
Celo
Decentralized platform Ubeswap has launched its V3, offering users the "power of Concentrated Liquidity." Now, users can deposit Celo dollars and donate the earned interest to Impact Market, the platform that supports economically disadvantaged people around the world.
Ethereum
It's official! Solidity 0.8.19 has arrived on Ethereum, this latest version includes custom operators for user-defined value types.
Arbitrum One becomes the first rollup to surpass Ethereum's mainnet in daily transaction volume, while the Base testnet, Coinbase's Layer 2 blockchain built on Optimism's OP Stack, is now active.
In other news, ERC-4337 has been deployed on Ethereum's mainnet, which means there is a new token model related to Account Abstraction. This new standard will provide users with the ease of recovering lost private keys, securing wallets with two-factor authentication (2FA) or even biometrics, among other things.
Finally, the Shapella upgrade was successfully completed on Ethereum, marking the final test before the next upgrade that will enable ETH withdrawals
Aptos
The testnet of Lava Network is now active, allowing decentralized access to Aptos APIs. Meanwhile, Aptos developers are working on AIP-17, to reduce transaction execution costs by up to 100 times by separating transaction storage from execution costs.
And a well-deserved recognition. In March, according to Messari, Aptos was ranked as one of the fastest blockchains in completion time (TTF).
Juno
In just 6 minutes and 22 seconds, Juno launched its v13 update with significant improvements for the ecosystem, especially to enhance user experience. Innovations include the implementation of eeShare and TokenFactory modules, as well as Cosm Wasm v0.30, CIB v4, and Packet Forwarding Middleware.
Ethereum has arrived on the DEXs of Hopers and WYND! Axelar has helped these exchange platforms pave the way for the future of DeFi. Additionally, Bitcoin has also arrived at Hopers thanks to Axelar!
Moreover, WYND has inaugurated its new LSD section, which allows for the creation of liquid staking assets. This section was inaugurated with wyJUNO as a JUNO derivative, generating an interesting APR. It is also possible to earn yield from the wyJUNO/JUNO pair with a commendable APR, with unstaking periods varying from 7 to 42 days.
Injective
Injective launched Cascade, the first Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) cumulative package for the IBC ecosystem, in collaboration with Eclipse, a provider of customizable rollups. Cascade will not only attract Solana developers to Injective's ecosystem, but will also help expand potential synergies between Solana, Injective, and Cosmos.
In addition, in March, Injective's validator set increased to 60 validators committed to chain security, after the respective proposal was approved in governance. Speaking of governance, Injective had a lot of activity in that regard. For example, its Injective mainnet v1.10 update was approved, which included improvements to trading experiences on Injective's exchange dApps, among other improvements.
The F1 markets are now active on Frontrunner, and the Ninja Masters Ambassador program is still in effect. If you are a writer, designer, developer, trader, or crypto lover, you have what it takes to be part of this program!
Polkadot
In Polkadot, the activity is impressive. Peaq Network announced the launch of Peaq Control, a dApp that acts as a command center for devices, robots, and vehicles and serves as a gateway to Web3.
By unanimous vote, referendum 106 was approved, which proposes opening new HRMP channels between Statemint and HydraDX, Kapex, Ajuna, Pendulum, and Litentry.
Pendulum is now available on Polkadot's mainnet, and its native token PEN can be found on Nova Wallet and Talisman. Additionally, Unique Network has announced a collaboration with Subsquid to obtain advanced and easy-to-use data tool functions, including an indexing toolkit for extracting and processing on-chain data.
Persistence
Persistence has added a new decentralized exchange to its main network: Dexter Zone. This interchain DEX for yield-generating assets seeks to build an efficient AMM for yield farming assets such as liquid staking assets and tokens that earn interest in DeFi.
