Latest blockchain news: November 2025

December 3, 2025

As we do every month, this November we bring you the most relevant updates from your favorite ecosystems in our monthly blockchain report. Plus, we share our latest updates as a validator and everything we’re doing to contribute to the ecosystems beyond just validating. Don’t miss out!

Monthly highlights at Stakely

Stakely joins Lido’s Extra Effort Tier

We’re thrilled to share that Lido has chosen us as one of the five validators in the Extra Effort Tier within their Curated Module. This recognition marks an important milestone for us and reaffirms the trust Lido has placed in our work. It’s a big motivator to keep building and contributing to the ecosystem.

We join Story Protocol as a validator

We’ve joined their validator set because we believe in this L1 focused on programmable IPs. Story offers a settlement layer for registering, licensing, and monetizing intellectual property on-chain, bridging blockchain with AI applications. Support the network by staking IP!

We shut down our Initia node

Following the approval of proposal #60 “Active Validator Set Reduction,” Stakely is no longer part of Initia’s active validator set. If you were staking with us, please redelegate as soon as possible.

New tokens added to our Multicoin Faucet

You can now request MON (Monad), IP (Story Protocol), and AVAIL (Avail) from our Multicoin Faucet quickly, easily, and with no registration required. Forget running out of gas and keep building without interruption!

Deploy validators with Nodes-as-a-Service

With our Nodes-as-a-Service tool, you’ve already been able to deploy high-performance RPC nodes, and now you can also deploy validator nodes. Learn how to do it.

Celo confirms its Jello hard fork for December 10, bringing OP Succinct Lite to mainnet and becoming the first network to use zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs to enhance sequencer security.

Celonames allows users to claim on-chain names for less than one cent with ZK verification; and ZK Awakening with OP Succinct Lite, zkPoH, and Nightfall launches as a Layer 3 for private payments developed by EY.

Celestia

The Matcha upgrade is now live on mainnet: it reduces inflation, enables asset bridges from any network, and supports block sizes up to 128 MB.

Celestia is now supported on Gateway Apps: teams can use modular blockspace, publish NMT blobs, and verify on Ethereum without running their own DA infrastructure.

Concordium

Milestone in agent-based commerce: X402 partners with Concordium to enable autonomous regulated transactions, automatic stablecoin payments, access to regulated products, and jurisdiction-sensitive services — all through a single wallet flow.

Covalent

gSpeed celebrates creation and closes November by celebrating Thanksgiving and Black Friday with a themed app contest — 1000 XP for the top 3 developers.

Ethereum

Ethereum keeps December 3 as the launch date for Fusaka on mainnet, despite a bug in Prysm. Developers are finalizing the latest versions and have named the next forks Heka and Bogo.

Lido DAO proposes an automated LDO buyback system, using a Uniswap v2-style pool to withdraw tokens and strengthen on-chain liquidity. It would only activate if ETH exceeds $3,000 and annual revenue surpasses $40M, with a possible start in 2026.

Ethereum introduces EIP-8079 for “native rollups”, simplifying block verification while maintaining L1 alignment.

Privacy Pools now allows deposits from 0.01 ETH, accelerating private transfers on Ethereum using ZK proofs.

ETHDenver 2026 registration is now open: sign up to get your free ticket for the world’s biggest BUIDL festival.

SSV celebrates 280% growth over the past year: from 33,000 to over 125,000 validators — driven by client diversity and decentralization.

Our key ecosystem contributions this month:

Monad

Monad’s mainnet is now live, and we at Stakely have supported it throughout the process. Support the network by staking MON.

Namada

Namada prepares update v201.0.7 after identifying the cause of occasional node halts, linked to RocksDB processes.

New official domains are now active: app.namada.net, namadillo.app, and namada.world are the main access points.

After the approval of proposal 36, Namada disables inflation for all shielded pool assets except USDC, considering its initial purpose fulfilled.

NEAR Protocol

NEAR completes its halving on mainnet, reducing annual inflation from 5% to 2.5% and entering a new phase of sustainable tokenomics and better-aligned incentives.

Last weeks to get NPRO before its December 15 launch on NEAR Protocol, with pools on Rhea Finance and NEAR Intents.

Latest updates from NEAR Intents:

  • A new program to boost NEAR Intents invites experts from other ecosystems to join as “targeting specialists” and help drive its growth.
  • NEAR Intents is now integrated with Ledger Wallet via SwapKit, enabling simple and secure swaps directly from Ledger.
  • New milestones reached: $6B total volume, $3.5B monthly, and 10M swaps completed.

Osmosis

Osmosis ranks among the top 10 DEXes by code commits, thanks to a year of DeFi product development, according to Token Terminal.

Record monthly OSMO burn: 70% of taker fees are automatically burned, surpassing emissions by at least 2x in the past 30 days — around 10 million OSMO burned so far.

Osmosis surpasses $43B in trading volume and $22M in total protocol revenue, reinforcing benefits for stakers and community pool growth.

Persistence

Persistence token type migration from 750 to 118 closes on December 31 — complete the process to maintain uninterrupted support.

Polkadot

Polkadot completes the largest unification in its history: 1.6B DOT migrated to Asset Hub, integrating balances, staking, and governance. UX improves, fees drop, and the path to JAM becomes clearer.

The Web3 Foundation launches ELVES, a protocol that reduces computational demands and balances security, decentralization, and scalability — explained by Chen-Da in this video.

Secret

Secret Network introduces SecretVM Key Management (KMS) on-chain: a secure system for managing private keys within confidential virtual machines, using cryptographic attestation to ensure complete privacy.

Secret Network runs Solidity-LLM inside SecretVM for the first time, enabling developers to generate, optimize, and audit smart contracts without exposing proprietary code or logic.

Shentu Chain

Shentu Chain and OpenMath launch Theorem, the first global on-chain formal verification competition. It kicks off with challenges on “Transitivity of Equality” and “Sum of Four Squares,” offering 20 and 200 CTK as prizes.

Somnia fuels innovation: kicks off its 90-day SLP Program with 1M SOMI in rewards and launches Dreamathon projects competing for $200,000 in funding with community backing.

Sonic

Mainnet update 2.1.2 completed successfully, introducing Pectra compatibility and several network improvements.

Sonic activates a security mechanism as a precaution after detecting suspicious activity tied to a potential exploit in Beets Fi — freezing two wallets while investigating with the protocol team.

Starknet

Starknet reaches 1 billion STRK in staking just one year after launch, and we at Stakely are proud to have been part of it from the beginning. Stake STRK with Stakely.

Zypherpunk Hackathon track prize pool increased to $35,000, with up to $1,000 extra offered for each referred team that finishes in the Top 3.

BTCfi rewards are officially distributed: participants received eBABY and eU according to their activity in the program.

Visual identity revamped: new branding, iconography, and a Y2K/F1-inspired aesthetic to support Union’s growth in ZK.

Union unveils the Z-Asset standard: ERC-compatible tokens that enable transparent or private cross-chain transfers using zero-knowledge proofs — no wrappers or synthetic bridges, while preserving full fungibility and contract uniqueness across supported chains.

Walrus

Blobmaxxing record set: OpenGradient stores over 1.1 TB on Walrus.

Walrus opens applications to build a decentralized events platform to replace Eventbrite or Luma. Apply here!

Haulout closes applications and enters the evaluation phase, with results expected by December 18 as teams refine improvements in DeepSurge.
