Shentu staking is a way for users to support the security and operation of the Shentu Chain while earning rewards in return. To participate in staking, users can delegate their CTK tokens to a validator node on the network.

Validators are responsible for verifying transactions and creating new blocks in the blockchain, and they receive a portion of the rewards generated by the network.

Users who delegate their CTK tokens to a validator also receive a share of the rewards in proportion to the amount they delegate. This incentivizes users to hold their CTK tokens and contribute to the overall health and growth of the network.

Your rewards can be claimed at any time by clicking on the “Claim” button in the Certik wallet application.

Unlike other blockchains, tokens staked on Certik do not run the risk of being affected in case the node is slashed, as the penalty is equal to 0. The only risks involved are protocol errors, network attacks and user mismanagement of keys.

We have been supporting CertiK since the early stages, winning a seat as bootstrap nodes and with the support of the CertiK foundation. We also run a very high availability infrastructure so having a node slash is very unlikely. We also have a friendly community, join us!

The minimum stake is 1 CTK. Remember to always leave some tokens unstaked to pay for future transactions.

You can cancel your stake anytime within the CertiK wallet at the validators tab. The unbonding period is 21 days but instant if you just want to switch validators.

Stakely charges a commission of 8%. This commission is used to maintain and monitor the validator on a long-term sustainable basis. These fees are also used to finance our staking insurance.
