XPRT is Persistence’s native token. The XPRT token is used in the Persistence ecosystem to secure the network through staking.

Stakely only charges a 5% commission from the XRPT staking. This commission will be deducted from the earned rewards and will be used to maintain and monitor the Persistence validator in a sustainable manner in the long run.

Our Persistence validator is managed by a team highly skilled in Tendermint-based blockchains. In addition, Stakely has a Staking Insurance Program to cover losses in case of slashing incidents and develops different tools in order to improve the user experience of our delegators.

pSTAKE is one of the core protocols in the Persistence ecosystem. pSTAKE is a liquid staking protocol where any user can stake their tokens while unlocking their liquidity.

These tokens can then be used in DeFi to maximise profits.

Persistence is a PBFT Tendermint chain based on the Delegated Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism, which means it uses staking to secure the network.

Those delegators who choose to stake their tokens by delegating them to the validator of their choice will receive XPRT rewards for contributing to the network’s security.

In addition, by staking XPRT through pSTAKE, you unlock the liquidity of your staked tokens. You can delegate them through pSTAKE to receive stkXPRT in return, which is equivalent to your staking XPRT plus accrued rewards.

You can unstake at any time. There is an unbonding period of 21 days. That is, you will have to wait 21 days from the moment you unbond your tokens before you can finally withdraw your tokens to your wallet.

Persistence is based on Delegated Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism, which includes a slashing mechanism. That is, part of the total staking amount of a node can be slashed, which is the same as reduced if it does not behave correctly. Other risks could be protocol errors, network attacks and poor key management by the user.

We take the necessary measures to minimize the risks of slashing. We also have a Staking Insurance Program to cover losses in case of an accident caused by us.
