NEAR Protocol (NEAR) Staking

Go to MyNearWallet and create a unique address for the NEAR Protocol. Choose a security method: a new 12-word seed phrase or a Ledger device. Securely save your seed phrase or connect your Ledger, then confirm the details.

Fund your MyNearWallet by choosing an existing account or importing it. Follow the instructions to complete the funding transaction.

In MyNearWallet, navigate to the wallet page and click Staking. Then, click Stake My Tokens. Carefully choose a validator (e.g., stakely_io.poolv1.near), confirm your choice, enter the amount of NEAR you wish to stake, and submit the transaction.

You've successfully staked your NEAR tokens! Await your rewards which can be monitored in the staking section of the wallet.

To liquid stake NEAR with Meta Pool, you have several wallet options. In this tutorial, we'll guide you through using MyNearWallet.

To ensure you have a NEAR Wallet, visit MyNearWallet. You can either create a new account, import an existing account from seed, or connect your Ledger device (with the NEAR Ledger App installed and open). Remember to securely save your password.

Visit the Meta Pool App and click on the Stake button. Choose the token you want to stake, in this case, select Stake NEAR. Then, click on Connect your wallet to stake and choose NEAR Wallet from the list.

Make sure you have selected the Stake option and enter the amount of NEAR you wish to stake. Note that the minimum amount is 1 stNEAR. Click the Stake now button and approve the transaction in your NEAR Wallet.

This process will exchange your NEAR tokens for stNEAR, which represents the value of your staked NEAR and accrues value over time.

You have successfully liquid staked NEAR! When you decide to unstake, you have two options. You can use Fast Unstake to immediately unstake your stNEAR by paying a small fee. Alternatively, you can opt for the traditional unstake method called Delayed Unstake, which takes 6 days to complete and doesn't provide rewards during that time.
