Stakely's Monthly News Digest | June 2023 Edition

July 3, 2023

Welcome to the Stakely monthly news roundup for June! There's so much to announce, so without further ado, let's dive into the latest updates from your favorite blockchains and the newest developments from the Stakely team this month.

Stakely is a permissioned node operator on Stader

What better way to kick things off than by announcing that Stader has appointed us as one of their Permissioned Node Operators as part of our partnership as ETHx PowerUp Partners.

Our experience, technical expertise, and stringent security measures, coupled with our steadfast support for both Stader and the Ethereum community, are all geared towards taking ETHx to the next level. We couldn't have accomplished this without the trust of our amazing community!

Top News of the Month

Osmosis

We're here to keep you updated on the important details. Therefore, we want to share the news about the new Protocol Taker Fee on the Osmosis DEX.

Find out how this fee impacts OSMO stakers, how it will affect swap fees, and how the generated revenues will be distributed.

Ethereum

June brought excellent news for non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in terms of copyright. The Sudoswap NFT marketplace launched its v2 with significant improvements in on-chain copyright and more.

Meanwhile, Optimism premiered its first mainnet update, Bedrock, aiming to make the layer 2 network the go-to for Ethereum scaling.

Thinking about staking ETH? In that case, you'll be interested in our Swell tutorial, a guide specially created so that everyone, including beginners, can focus on profiting from their ETH on Swell Network. Are you going to miss it?

NEAR Protocol

In June, NEAR Protocol and Alibaba announced an exciting partnership to promote mass adoption of Web3 and foster blockchain technology adoption in the business industry, focusing on real use cases. Just imagine the possibilities! We're sure they'll soon surprise us with more progress and updates.

Agoric

One of the most anticipated updates for Agoric arrived in June: the “Inter Protocol Vaults”, which allow users to lock ATOM to mint IST, a decentralized stablecoin pegged to the US dollar. The goal is for it to become the premier currency in the Cosmos ecosystem.

The goal of this new component is to boost IST scalability, featuring a decentralized settlement system and oracle to ensure its operation. If you're not familiar with Agoric, it's time to keep a close eye on this blockchain that empowers dApp development using JavaScript.

Aptos

Aptos has demonstrated impressive growth, with a 150% increase in its active modules since January 2023. They've also developed Shoal, a framework that reduces consensus latency by up to 80%.

Injective

Injective continues to work hard to enhance its platform, with the latest update, Avalon, concentrating on optimizing L1 scalability. Now, Injective processes blocks in less than a second!

In addition, Injective partnered with Polygon, taking another step toward cross-chain composability.

Did you know that Injective launched the Open Liquidity Program (OLP), seeking greater liquidity for Injective through DeFi? Members can invest in the OLP and provide liquidity in Injective's on-chain order book infrastructure to receive INJ rewards.

Besides partnerships and integrations, Injective has strengthened the value of INJ through periodic token burns. The Injective community has already carried out the 100th INJ burn, further backing its proposition!

Avalanche

Avalanche has made a significant breakthrough in e-commerce with the Venly NFT Shopify app, now compatible with AVAX, leveraging ultra-fast and low-cost transactions.

Also, the official launch of Product Hunt will take place on June 11th, a platform focused on sharing and discovering the latest mobile apps, websites, hardware projects, and tech creations.

Juno

Juno Network has announced that it will be the first chain in the Cosmos ecosystem to connect to Kusama-Polkadot through IBC. Furthermore, the integration with Oracle ensures smooth transmission of verified price data.

Pulsar Finance has integrated all of Juno's protocols into its dashboard, enabling users to monitor their DeFi positions from one place.

Jungle has arrived at WYND, allowing users to freely participate in WYND's DeFi ecosystem and create a pool with only 500 WYND tokens. In other words, there's no longer a need to wait for pools to be created through governance proposals. If DeFi is your thing, not checking out Wynd Jungle would be almost a sin.

In addition, Juno users can now transfer their NFTs to other IBC-linked chains thanks to TFM, an IBC, DEX, and NFT aggregator. Juno's NFTs can interact with OmniFlix, Stargaze, and Terra simply by connecting to the Juno network via TFM.

Fantom

For Fantom enthusiasts, the Gas Fee Monetization Program has been introduced, which rewards dApps with a 15% return on the gas fee used on their platforms.

Continuing the theme of transactions, in this case, the fastest and safest, Fantom has integrated DLN and deSwap.

Another important integration was with CryptoWallet.com's crypto bank. Now, FTM users can manage their FTM coins on three different chains.

Polkadot

In the Polkadot ecosystem, the Bisfrost dApp on Kusama now supports multiple tokens for gas fee payment. Moreover, Phat Contract, which facilitates the integration of EVM and the Substrate framework, is now active.

Evmos

After implementing its Half Life (halving the inflation of EVMOS), Evmos is moving towards a reevaluation of its tokenomics, with more news about EVMOS implementations coming soon.

Plans are also underway to natively implement Osmosis' Superfluid Staking. This aims to leverage dApps liquidity and increase network security, in addition to supporting V2 issuance mechanisms through proof of liquidity.

Cosmos

Cosmos continues to expand with the alliance of Toki Finance and Datachain, aiming to bring Japanese stablecoins to public blockchains like Ethereum, Cosmos, Avalanche, and Polygon.

Cosmos users who use Ledger will be thrilled to know that Zondax has updated its app to be compatible with the new Stax device.

Picasso, Kusama's L1 blockchain, is nearing full compatibility with any blockchain through the IBC protocol, highlighting the growth of interoperability in the Polkadot ecosystem.

Finally, Quasar Finance has launched its second yield vault (Vault), ATOM PRO. At Quasar, users invest cryptocurrencies like ATOM and OSMO in liquidity, and the protocol uses them in various Osmosis pools to maximize yields.

Airdrops 🪂

From now on, we will also discuss confirmed airdrops that are ready to be claimed. We don't want you to miss out on the rewards that could drop from the sky for supporting your favorite projects long-term!

Archway

To celebrate the launch of Archway's mainnet, the team has allocated a portion of its initial tokenomics to reward users with an airdrop. If you meet at least one of the following requirements as of January 16, 2023, you will be eligible for the airdrop:

  • own a minimum of 25 ATOM in staking
  • have used the Axelar bridge (over 5k in assets)
  • have implemented a contract in Terra (Classic)
  • have participated in the Constantine-2 and/or Torii testnets.

Check if you are eligible for the ARCH airdrop and follow the instructions to claim 100% of your piece!

Nois

Airdrops are becoming more and more creative. This time, Nois has launched what they call a "Randdrop". Basically, it's a random airdrop. Eligible people are not guaranteed to receive the airdrop, but if they are selected in Nois's draw, they will receive the airdrop multiplied by 3.

Which chains can give you a 3x Nois airdrop? Juno, Stargaze, Injective, and Aura. Good luck, as only a few will be the lucky winners!

Stride

At the end of June, Stride announced the sixth round of STRD airdrop distribution again. Keep in mind that there are no round limits, but there are limits on STRD to distribute. In other words, as long as there are 0 STRD left to claim, there will still be distribution rounds. Don't miss out!

See you next month!

The news and updates about the different blockchains demonstrate that this sector continues to grow and evolve at a rapid pace, and we're thrilled to be a part of this journey.
