Welcome to Stakely's monthly news roundup for February! This month has been very exciting for us and we're eager to share some updates with you.
Firstly, we want to highlight the Cosmos ecosystem's V8 Rho update and the impending governance approval of the V9 Lambda update, which will implement Replicated Security to attract more development, security, and economy to the ecosystem. This is very exciting!
What's new at Stakely?
We have many updates to share about Stakely. We've launched TikTok! It'll be great to connect with new users through this platform to share relevant information about project news and crypto adoption. Follow us and share it with everyone!
Recently, we had the opportunity to talk with the LMEC Hub team and share details about Stakely's vision, our journey, and how we handle security and transparency with our users. It was an interesting interview to get to know a little more about who is behind Stakely!
Do you remember the vote for proposal 16 to choose a new Liquid Staking Validator for Crescent? We're happy to announce that, from this month, Stakely is part of the set of Liquid Staking validators in Crescent. Nothing better to celebrate than opening a faucet for Crescent, so when you need a little help, you know we're with you.
Where have we participated?
February has been a full month with our participation in the Game of Alliance. For three weeks, validators and explorers tested the Interchain Alliance module, which seeks more development and activity for the Cosmos ecosystem.
And there's more! We participated in Wave 2 of the Sui Network Testnet, collaborating with other validators and users to test the new features enabled for this new second round.
New releases
In collaboration with the Quasar team, we've launched a new Quasar Testnet faucet. If you haven't tried it yet to explore their network, we invite you to do so!
Regarding content, we've released different video tutorials on YouTube to accompany you in the learning process in the world of staking, such as how to liquid stake OSMO on Stride, how to stake Crescent or Liquid staking of NEAR in Meta Pool. Check them out!

Updates on our projects
Evmos
The V11.0.0 update has introduced ICA host functionality on the Evmos mainnet, allowing for integration with liquid staking pools such as Stride and Quicksilver. Its stEVMOS derivative is already working on Stride. Additionally, the IBC-Go upgrade to v6.1.0 and Ethermint to v0.21.0, as well as the migration of IBC transfer deposit accounts to 'ModuleAccount' type.
In February, Evmos unveiled its 2023 roadmap, called the Manifesto, which is based on three pillars: EVM extensions, the Evmos SDK, and the dApp Store.
But wait, there's more!
- Crescent has initiated farming with stEVMOS/EVMOS and EVMOS/bCRE as incentivized pairs.
- After governance approval, SpaceFi has officially been deployed on the Evmos blockchain, with 1 million EVMOS as liquidity incentives for its yield farms, with different liquidity pairs and yield percentages that might interest you if you take a look.
- Encode Club has launched the Encode x Evmos Grants Programme, a grant program designed to familiarize developers with the Evmos ecosystem and reward proactive developers through a series of rewards.
- On Mintscan, Evmos now displays Skip Protocol badges, which shows validators that use Skip to take advantage of MEV for the community.
Fantom
In the Fantom ecosystem, there are three decentralized exchanges (DEX) leading the ranking: Spooky Swap, Beethoven X, and Equalizero. Additionally, thanks to Axelar Network's support, cross-chain swaps with $FTM are now available on Spooky Swap.
This quarter, a Hackathon with prizes of approximately $50,000 will take place. We'll be on the lookout for announcements!
Are you ready for more? Here are the most relevant updates in the ecosystem during February:
- Fantom users can now monitor their asset portfolios and calculate their taxes more easily thanks to Binocs.
- SafeTransfer, a free and open-source foolproof token transfer tool, is also available on Fantom.
- Particle Network, a full-stack data and Web3 development platform based on data and modular design, has joined the ecosystem.
- NOWnodes is now available on Fantom, making it easier for developers to integrate Fantom into their DeFi alternatives thanks to its Full Node access to FTM.
- You can now manage, trade, and buy FTM from Atomic Wallet.
- The iMe Smart Platform (a Telegram-driven intelligent messaging platform with a Crypto Wallet) has been integrated into the Fantom Network.
Injective
Injective has been key in Solana's entry into the Cosmos ecosystem, thanks to its collaboration with Wormhole.
Helix has capitalized on this integration by launching the first SOL spot market on Cosmos. Speaking of Helix, it has also undergone an upgrade that has improved its performance by 300%, increasing its operating cycles fivefold, and has debuted an intuitive account page for its users.
Skip Protocol has integrated with Injective in February, along with the DeFi platform Canto and the Revolut application. Their goal is to make Injective the only truly MEV-resistant blockchain, which will allow for greater potential staking rewards for delegators in the PoS L1 protocol.
Last but not least, the ninja community has launched the first Injective Global Hackathon with prizes and funding of up to $1,000,000 to accelerate adoption by builders, as well as a Ninja Masters Ambassador Program that offers rewards, INJ tokens, and exclusive benefits.
Polkadot
Polkadot continues to experience significant activity in its parachains. Aleph Zero, who participated as an anonymous parathread, won the lease contract, as did Turing Network, who won the Kusama parachain auction.
The Wasm proposal received unanimous approval from the community, while the Zeitgeist proposal was rejected with a 76% vote, as requested. By the way, Zeitgeist will migrate from Kusama to Polkadot in mid-March!
EVM compatibility is also causing a stir. Acurast is now EVM-compatible, and Acala Network announced the launch of Acala EVM+ on its mainnet to launch dApps compatible with Ethereum in Acala's DeFi applications.
Astar Network has announced two partnerships with major companies for Web3 project development. With Toyota, one of the world's leading car manufacturers, they will explore use cases for Web3. Meanwhile, with Sony Network Communications, they launched an incubation program for the development of top-tier Web3 projects.
Radhakrishna Dasari, Tech Ed Lead at W3F, gave a talk at Messari Mainnet about the new OpenGov system that will come to Polkadot and is already available on Kusama. The Polkadot ecosystem continues to evolve at a rapid pace!
Juno
The new v.13 upgrade for Juno is on its way and promises a series of exciting new features. Stay tuned for our weekly Juno updates so you don't miss a thing!
In terms of governance, proposal 144 stands out, which aims to turn Core-1 into a SubDAO, and proposal 249, created specifically to reduce the submission of spam proposals, has been approved.
Wynd has reduced its maximum token issuance limit to 420,691,337 (52% of the initial total) to generate "high scarcity" and focus on using the token for specific functions. Wynd started with a maximum issuance limit of 888,000,000 WYND tokens. In addition, Wynd has updated its user interface, bringing its DeFi sections (pools, farms, gauges) and staking and governance together on one page.
On the other hand, DeFi platform Loop has become a fully decentralized protocol governed by the community. From now on, every major decision about the future of Loop will be governed by its community thanks to its Loop DAO.
Cosmos
This month, the Cosmos ecosystem pleased NFT lovers by starting registrations for the Game of NFTs incentivized testnet. The goal of this testnet will be to gain enough experience to unlock NFT interoperability between different blockchains.
As part of the ecosystem's update schedule, Cosmos executed the V8 Rho in February, which fixed issues discovered after the V7 Theta upgrade. During this month, the support of the community was also requested through governance proposal 187 to implement one of the most anticipated updates of the ecosystem: V9 Lambda. Not only was the quorum met, but the proposal received unanimous support from the community!
Aptos
The Aptos mainnet will soon activate the improvements of the Aptos v.1.2 upgrade, which have been successfully tested on its testnet.
Aptos' native wallet, Martian Wallet, now allows its users to send tokens or NFTs from Twitter thanks to a feature that integrates the wallet with this powerful social network.
Aptos will also launch its ambassador program, Aptos Collective, which will support the network's growth worldwide. If you participate in Aptos, you may be interested in attending MoveCon, which will be held at ETH Denver (USA) from March 3 to 5. Aptos and Move will be talking points at this great live event organized by Pontem Network.
Ethereum
The day is getting closer. The Zhejiang and Sepolia public testnets for testing the Shanghai upgrade have been completed, which will allow for testing ETH withdrawals - possibly the most anticipated event of March.
In February, registrations opened for the ETHDenver celebration in Colorado (USA), which will bring together developers and enthusiasts from numerous blockchain ecosystems from March 2-5 to exchange ideas on how to build the decentralized future of the world.
The second most relevant blockchain in the crypto ecosystem is making good progress:
- Aave Protocol V3 has been integrated into Ethereum Market.
- Lodestar v1.4.0 is now part of the Ethereum network as the official consensus client for the Ethereum Foundation's Staking Launchpad.
- Diva is the new liquid staking protocol in the ecosystem, powered by distributed validators that anyone can run with a small amount of ETH.
- In terms of updates, Solidity has released version 0.8.18, which includes improvements such as disabling CBOR metadata, support for the Paris Hardfork, and depreciation of the "selfdestruct" feature, among others.
- Polygon zkEVM has announced the beta release date: March 27th.
