October 17, 2024

From October 8th to 10th, we had the opportunity to participate in Merge Madrid 2024 as a Silver Sponsor and as speakers. This event showcased how blockchain is transforming global culture and economy, and how Stakely is helping individuals and companies across various sectors manage staking easily and securely. In this article, we will share our experience during these three intense days of learning and networking.

During the event, we discussed and analyzed the financial ecosystem with notable presentations such as: Beyond HODLing: How Staking is Shaping the Future of Cryptocurrency.

Led by José Antonio Hernandez, CEO of Stakely, along with experts from Nektar Network, Lido Finance, Staking Rewards, and SSV Network. This presentation explored how staking is shaping the future of cryptocurrencies and its impact on the digital economy.

During the session, our CEO shared Stakely's vision and the significant advancements in the sector in recent years: "It's amazing to see how technologies like DVT, combined with projects like DappNode, allow users with zero technical knowledge to deploy their own validators at home with reduced risk." This positive progress in network accessibility and security perfectly aligns with our vision of simplifying the blockchain experience for users, allowing everyone to participate in the ecosystem easily and securely.

Following this main presentation, we kicked off the Staking Track, organized by Stakely in collaboration with Ethernodes on the Stakely Stage, where various blockchain presentations were held, including:

In these sessions, in addition to the participation of our Executive Director, José Antonio Hernandez, we had valuable technical insights from our Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Ignacio Iglesias Castreño, and our Chief Marketing Officer, María López Bernal.

In these discussions, our CTO reinforced the technical work that Stakely is undertaking. He added, "Initially, staking required users to manage nodes and infrastructure, making it difficult for the average user due to high costs and technical complexity. Now, validators like Stakely handle these tasks, making staking more accessible," Ignacio Iglesias Castreño, CTO of Stakely.

Our CMO, María López Bernal, also stated: "Staking is no longer just about locking funds and waiting for rewards. Sophisticated stakers compare blockchain returns, manage liquidity risks, and evaluate network security. Protocols like Lido and EigenLayer have enabled more advanced strategies, and these informed stakers are key to the long-term health of Proof-of-Stake networks." She also highlighted the upcoming improvements from Stakely to meet these new market demands and help both beginners and experts manage their decentralized finances from a single panel.
