To liquid stake Ethereum on Lido, you'll need a compatible wallet. MetaMask is one of the most popular options. If you already have one, simply prepare it to use with Lido.
Connect your MetaMask wallet with Lido
Navigate to the ETH staking page on Lido. Click on Connect wallet to connect your MetaMask wallet and view the balance available for delegation.
Delegate your ETH with MetaMask
Enter the amount of ETH you want to delegate and confirm the transaction. Click on Submit and approve the transaction from your MetaMask wallet. This step is crucial as you will exchange your ETH for stETH, the liquid token that represents your staking position on Lido, which you can freely use in DeFi.
Receive stETH after staking on Lido
Congratulations! You have completed the process of liquid staking ETH on Lido. Now, you will see your balance of stETH in your MetaMask wallet. Although liquid and not subject to an unbonding period, this token continues to generate returns.
